NYC Gay Pride/World Pride/Stonewall 50
Happy (Belated) Summer!
If you’ve ever been to New York City’s annual Gay Pride celebrations ,then you know theres nothing like it in the whole world. Well add to that NYC being the host city (for the first time, and the first time its been hosted in the US) for World Pride AND this all (not coincidentally) is taking place on the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots! That would give you “2019 World Pride NYC/ Stonewall 50.” Just typing that I start to tear up. How far we’ve come. It was an incredible week of momentous occasions, events, celebrations, call to actions, protests, parties and of course the March. 4 million people filled the streets and love and happiness and hope and optimism and joy was all that there was. Everywhere. Im grateful to have been a part of it. And to make things even more incredible, just so happened, thanks to Musee Magazine who enlisted my help covering the week of events, I HAD A PRESS PASS!!!
Here are some highlights from the week of events.
