Welcome to the future: Hudson Yards, NYC

For almost 20 years, New York City has imagined and envisioned a future for its west side industrialized and run-down region, in the Chelsea neighborhood of midtown Manhattan known as Hudson Yards. The West Side Rehabilitation Project, otherwise known as the Hudson Yards Project, finally made its debut on the world stage, Friday, March 15, 2019, as phase one of Hudson Yards opened to the public. I was there to experience the first day of operations for four of the dynamic pieces that make up the whole of the new HUDSON YARDS NEIGHBORHOOD. the Shops at Hudson Yards, the Plaza, Hudson Blvd Park and the Vessel.

To say I was thrilled would be an understatement.

I’ll be posting more info soon about all of the new projects I’m working on and/ or am a part of that have been inspired by the Hudson Yards. in the meantime I’m pleased to share some images from the opening weekend that i hope convey, in part, the bright and exciting future this new neIghborhood promises to bring New York City….. and the world.

Ladies and Gentlemen.

welcome to the future.

welcome to Hudson Yards.

…for dylan. on this 19th of march.
